When developing new wind turbines, extensive measurements of the mechanical loads acting on the prototypes during operation are indispensable.

Noise emissions are an important limiting factor in the layout of a wind farm. Qualified noise predictions are therefore essential for the planning of a wind farm. Bishop GmbH provides value added consultancy for Noise and acoustical analysis of the wind farms or wind turbine as individual equipment.

Carries out measurements and evaluations to determine the electrical characteristics and grid compatibility of wind turbines, solar inverters and of other generation units/systems.

Depending on the size of project we will comply with the requirements of the Distribution Code, the Grid Code and G59/2. We will be liable for significant transmission underwriting until your project is generating.

Power stations need to comply with the ESQCR and G59/2 - a document giving guidance on ensuring project meets the minimum power quality and protection requirements to connect to the grid. This can include:

• loss of mains,
• rate of change of frequency (ROCOF),
• fault ride though,
• neutral voltage displacement (NVD),
• point of common coupling voltage fluctuation under Engineering Recommendation P28,
• voltage imbalance and Engineering Recommendation P29,
